At Canori, clean means more than a clean kitchen.
When we set out to create a plastic-free dish soap bar, we knew the product had to stand for something bigger. That's why we're proud to partner with Eco-Soap Bank, a nonprofit organisation using recycled soap to save lives across the developing world.
About Eco-Soap Bank
Founded in 2014 by Samir Lakhani after witnessing a mother in rural Cambodia using laundry detergent to bathe her child, Eco-Soap Bank has a simple but powerful mission: recycle soap factory waste into life-saving bars for children and communities who have no access to this basic necessity.
In some areas of the developing world, only 1% of households have soap for handwashing. Eco-Soap Bank is changing that.
To date they have:
- Recycled over 14.6 million pounds of soap waste that would have gone to landfill
- Reached more than 10.5 million people with soap and handwashing training
- Employed 175 women from disadvantaged backgrounds as soapmakers
- Partnered with over 400 soapmakers worldwide
Handwashing with soap reduces harmful bacteria by 92%. It is one of the simplest, most effective public health interventions on earth.
